School work

Lilly loves to do school work. She basically just colors, cuts, and glues with an occasional glitter fest thrown in, but she has so much fun. I hope her love for learning lasts for a very long time.

Exploring Fall

This is Lucy's first real encouter with nature. Most of the time she is being held. She liked to feel the grass and crumple the leaves in her hands. And then she tried to eat stuff, so I had to pick her back up.

Well, all my pictures won't load, so I'll try again another time.

Trip to the Fair

Lilly has been looking forward to going to the fair for a long time. She wanted to ride the ferris wheel and eat cotton candy. She felt a little bad due to whooping cough (she was no long contagious), but she had the time of her life.

Lucy did really well. She ended up being carried most of the time, but that wasn't a problem, since there were plenty of people willing to hold her.

The ferris wheel was not working, so Lilly didn't get to ride it. Maybe next year.

Lilly really wanted to ride the purple dragon, but when we were standing in line the kids in front of us heard her say that, and loudly declared that they were going to run and get the purple one first. The little brats, they had spent the whole time talking about wanting the green one and they just did that to be mean. Thankfully Lilly was happy with the pink one.

She didn't get to ride the ferris wheel but she got cotton candy, so she went home a happy girl.

Whooping Cough

Lilly currently is struggling with a mild case of whooping cough. At least the doctor says it is mild, but it seems pretty bad. She hasn't been able to sleep because the coughing is so bad. We finally got some of the TheraFlu cough patches for her to wear at night. It helps some. She is still coughing, but nothing like she was. Hopefully Lucy won't get it, it would be so hard on a little baby.

Anyway, here is a picture of the girls taking a nap together in my bed. They look so sweet.
